The Rational Software Development Platform and Telelogic DOORS® – The Best of Both Worlds
EmbeddedPlus’ toolkit provides a seamless integration between Rational’s UML Modeling Tools and Telelogic’s DOORS Requirements Management Tool.
SALT LAKE CITY, UT, April 18, 2005 - EmbeddedPlus Engineering today announced a new software toolkit, which is designed to improve communication between teams of analysts and designers working on software and systems projects.
EmbeddedPlus DoorKeeper for the IBM Rational Software Development Platform provides an integration of the industry standard requirements management tool inside Rational’s Eclipse-based Rational Software Architect and Rational Software Modeler products. The depth of the integration provides access to both UML modeling artifacts and requirements from the same user interface. In addition, users can create associations between model elements and requirements via drag and drop, maintain traceability, synchronize data, and navigate to the DOORS user interface.
“Our experience has shown that an inadequate integration between tools designed to maintain traceability between a requirements database and a UML modeling tool is a root cause of communication problems leading to rework and missed deadlines.” says EmbeddedPlus President Paula Thetford Obeid. “Our toolkit gives software and system engineering teams the ability to choose best of breed tools and still obtain the deep integration they have always longed for.”
The new EmbeddedPlus DoorKeeper for the IBM Rational Software Development Platform has been officially validated as Ready for IBM Rational software.
EmbeddedPlus is currently accepting applications for the beta program, which opens next week.
